ACT Lawrence, Inc. is a Latina-led non-profit Community Development Corporation (CDC) that empowers people to achieve their goals and dreams by providing opportunities for financial capability, community engagement & personal growth.
OUR MISSION
We work to achieve social and economic justice by empowering low to moderate-income populations in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Through shared values of inclusiveness and collaboration, we desire to reclaim a voice for Lawrence and advocate self-determination for its residents through community development initiatives such as affordable housing, financial coaching, and youth leadership programs.
Our Pillars
The Housing Services team is committed to assisting residents with personalized support for their housing needs. From navigating affordable housing options to providing resources for tenants and homeowners, they work to ensure stability, equity, and access to safe living environments for all.
The Financial Opportunity Center empowers individuals and families by providing resources and coaching to improve financial stability. Through personalized guidance, workforce development, and access to tools for building wealth, the center helps community members achieve their financial goals and create brighter futures.
The Youth Center focuses on empowering young people by providing a safe, supportive space for growth and development. Through educational programs, leadership opportunities, and recreational activities, the center inspires youth to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their community.
The Community Engagement Center serves as a dynamic space for fostering connections and collaboration among residents, organizations, and local leaders. By hosting events, workshops, and initiatives, the center empowers the community to actively participate, share ideas, and drive positive change.
